Cooling circuit optimization for the BMW S55 The 3.0-liter S55B30 turbo engine (BMW M3/M4) uses an indirect intercooler circuit (low-temperature circuit). The temperature of this cooling water is crucial for power output. The Wagner Tuning Competition water cooler kit (consisting of front and side coolers) addresses this bottleneck. The 94% volume expansion of the side cooler (in addition to the 89% expansion of the front cooler) significantly reduces the water temperature in the circuit.
