Cooling circuit optimization for the 2.0 TDI/BiTDI engine The 2.0-liter TDI and BiTDI engine in the VW T6 / T6.1 is equipped with an indirect intercooler circuit. In this system, the charge air is cooled not by ambient air, but by a separate cooling water circuit. Lowering the coolant temperature is therefore the most effective way to improve the cooling performance of the charge air and maintain engine performance under load.
