Cooling circuit optimization for the BMW S55 The 3.0-liter S55B30 turbo engine in the BMW F87 M2 Competition uses an advanced indirect intercooler circuit (low-temperature circuit). Reducing the coolant temperature in this circuit is key to stabilizing the charge air temperature and thus maintaining maximum performance.
