What are the main features of Powerflex Bushes?
Powerflex parts are developed for specific vehicles and fitting positions rather than treated as universal replacements across all cars. The range uses different polyurethane compounds to suit the load and movement required in each part of the suspension or chassis, which is why they’re known as the best Powerflex bushes for performance cars in the UK.
What is the difference between PowerFlex Colours and what do they mean?

Red: the softest 65A bush primarily used for Universal exhaust mounts and diesel engine mounts.

Yellow: Powerflex’s softer 70A polyurethane and is commonly used where more movement and absorption are needed, including some subframe and mounting applications.
- Purple: an 80A material used across much of the suspension range, giving a firmer balance of control and compliance.

Black: the hardest material from the range. Made from 95A polyurethane, this is used mostly for the Motosport Black Series range which is part of the Road Series. Created for when the vehicle’s stock suspension doesn't quite cut it, for track vehicles this is a must for areas under an intense load.
The colour required is decided by the product and fitting position, so it should not be treated as a choice between two versions unless both are specifically listed for the vehicle.
How do I know if my suspension bush is worn out?
Knocking over uneven roads, clunking noises when you turn, vague steering and changes in alignment can all point towards bush wear. Cracking or splitting in the rubber may also be visible during inspection.
Those symptoms can come from other suspension parts, so the car should be checked properly before ordering replacements.
How long should a suspension bush last?
There is no set lifespan. Road conditions and mileage have a big influence, while heat and repeated hard use can speed up deterioration. The bushes fitted to heavily loaded parts of the suspension may also wear sooner than those working in less demanding positions.
